Cloverleaf Rolls

Ingredients
- 2 (1/4 ounce) packages active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup warm water (110*)
- 1 1/2 cups warm milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 6 cups all-purpose flour
Recipe
- 1 in a mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in water. beat in milk, sugar, egg, shortening, salt and 2 cups flour until smooth.
- 2 stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough.
- 3 turn onto a floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 minute.
- 4 place in a greased bowl, turning once to coat top.
- 5 cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hours
- 6 punch dough down. roll into 90 balls; place three balls each in greased muffin cups.
- 7 cover and let rise until doubled, about 45 minute
- 8 bake at 375* for 12-14 min or until golden brown. cool on wire racks.
