Cantaloupe Sorbet

Total Time: 3 hrs 5 mins Preparation Time: 3 hrs Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 8 ounces superfine sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cantaloupe
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Recipe

  • 1 dissolve the sugar and water together over a low heat. bring to the boil and simmer for 3 minutes. leave to cool.
  • 2 cut the melon in half, scoop out the seeds and remove the rind.
  • 3 place the flesh, lemon juice and sugar syrup in a food processor and process for one minute or until smooth.
  • 4 either place in a container and put in the freezer for 3 hours stirring occasionally to break up the ice crystals or freeze in an ice cream machine.
