Cinnamon Raisin Biscuits

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup chilled stick margarine or 1/4 cup butter, cut into small pieces
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 3/4 cup low-fat milk
- 1 tablespoon flour
- cooking spray
- 1/2 cup sifted icing sugar
- 1 tablespoon low-fat milk
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 400*f.
- 2 lightly spoon flour into dry measuring cup and level off with a knife.
- 3 combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and cinnamon in a bowl; cut in margarine with a pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse meal.
- 4 add raisins and toss well; stir in the milk, stirring just until moist.
- 5 sprinkle 1 tbs flour evenly over work surface.
- 6 turn dough onto floured surface and knead lightly 4 or 5 times.
- 7 pat out to a 1/2 inch thickness; cut with a 2 1/2 inch biscuit cutter.
- 8 place on a baking sheet sprayed lightly with cooking spray, with sides slightly touching.
- 9 bake for 13 to 14 minutes or until golden.
- 10 combine icing sugar and milk and drizzle over hot biscuits.
- 11 serve immediately.
