Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups sifted all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 3 tablespoons butter or 3 tablespoons margarine, melted
Recipe
- 1 sift together flour,sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt into large bowl.
- 2 combine buttermilk, egg and butter; add to flour mixture and stir just until all ingredients are moistened.
- 3 fill greased medium muffin tins.
- 4 bake in 400f oven for 20-25 minutes.
- 5 serve warm with butter or preserves.
