Bourbon Caramel Truffles

Total Time: 4 hrs 10 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 4 hrs

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons evaporated milk
  • 1 tablespoon golden cane syrup
  • 1 dash salt
  • 1 tablespoon bourbon
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 1/2 ounces bittersweet chocolate, finely chopped
  • 1 3/4 ounces milk chocolate, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa (unsweetened)

Recipe

  • 1 combine brown sugar, milk, cane syrup, and salt in a saucepan over medium-high heat, and bring to a boil.
  • 2 cook 1 minute or until sugar dissolves, and remove from heat.
  • 3 stir in bourbon, and vanilla extract.
  • 4 add chocolates, and let stand for 1 minute.
  • 5 stir until smooth.
  • 6 pour into a shallow dish, cover and chill 4 hours.
  • 7 heat a tablespoon measure with hot water, and pat dry.
  • 8 scoop chocolate mixture with spoon, and dip in cocoa.
  • 9 roll into balls, cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
