Ingredients

- 1 1/2 cups lukewarm water
- 1 1/2 cups molasses
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 2 tablespoons caraway seeds
- 3 ounces active dry yeast
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 1/4 cups rye flour
- 3 1/2 cups flour
Recipe
- 1 stir ingredients together in bowl.
- 2 let rise at least one hour.
- 3 let raise a second time.
- 4 shape into 2 loaves and let rise in pan.
- 5 bake at 400 degrees f until tops start to brown.
- 6 bake at 350 degrees f to finish.
