Bourbon Marinade

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 1 tablespoon ground ginger
- 1/2 cup worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup jack daniels whiskey
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 4 chicken breasts or 4 lamb chops
Recipe
- 1 mix all the ingredients, except the meat, in a bowl.
- 2 place the meat in a shallow baking dish or tupperware container.
- 3 add what ever meat you are using to the marinate, cover and refrigerate overnight.
- 4 make sure that all the meat is soaking in the marinate.
- 5 preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- 6 bring the contents of the dish to room temperature before cooking.
- 7 bake for 1 hour if using chicken.
- 8 bake for 1 1/2 hours if using lamb chips.
- 9 turn meat over half way thru the cooking time.
- 10 remove the meat from the baking dish and keep warm.
- 11 strain the marinate into a bowl.
- 12 in a sauce pan simmer over a medium flame to reduce it by half.
- 13 once reduced, remove from the heat and stir in 1 tablespoon of butter to make the sauce creamy.
- 14 serve with the meat.
