Cranberry-walnut Scones

Total Time: 33 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 18 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup maple sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup cranberries (fresh or dried)
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon skim milk

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  • 2 spray baking sheet with cooking spray.
  • 3 in large bowl stir together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt, put in butter.
  • 4 stir in cranberries and walnuts.
  • 5 make a well in center and stir in buttermilk.
  • 6 dough should be sticky.
  • 7 pat into 8" round.
  • 8 cut each round into 8 triangles.
  • 9 brush top with milk and sprinkle with maple sugar.
  • 10 bake for 14 to 18 minutes.
