Danish Aebleskivers

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
- 3/4 cup flour, all-purpose
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 large eggs, separated
- 1 cup milk
- vegetable oil, for cooking
- 2 bananas or 2 peaches
- powdered sugar, for dusting
Recipe
- 1 stir together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
- 2 mix egg yolks and milk together well.
- 3 add this mixture to the dry ingredients.
- 4 stir until just blended.
- 5 beat egg whites until stiff and fold them into batter.
- 6 heat aebleskiver pan.
- 7 spoon 1/2 teaspoon oil into each section and fill 2/3 full with batter.
- 8 cook over medium heat until bubbles appear.
- 9 turn with a fork or skewer and cook the other side until lightly browned.
- 10 to vary flavor, add a slice of banana or peach to each section before it is turned.
- 11 dust with powdered sugar and serve with butter and jam or found this recipesyrup.
