Bourbon Carrots

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 1/2 lbs baby carrots
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons bourbon
  • chopped fresh parsley, for garnish if desired (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 in a large saucepan, bring water to a boil; then add carrots, sugar and salt.
  • 2 return to a boil and cook for 5 minutes or until tender.
  • 3 melt butter and brown sugar in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • 4 stir in carrots and cook, stirring occasionally, 2 to 3 minutes.
  • 5 add bourbon and cook, stirring occasionally for 3 more minutes.
  • 6 garnish if desired.
