Cocoa Caramels

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 15
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup karo syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 teaspoons butter
  • 3/4 cup cocoa

Recipe

  • 1 mix all ingredients together in a med size pot.
  • 2 boil on low fire until mixture reaches hard ball stage.
  • 3 pour in a buttered pan 9x9 or 9x13.
  • 4 when candy is cool cut in 1 inch squares.
  • 5 be careful that they don't stick together.
  • 6 wrap each piece in wax paper for individual candies keeps well in the refrigerator.
