Cauliflower-capsicum Delight

Ingredients

- 1 medium cauliflower
- 4 big green chilies
- 1 tablespoon ginger
- 1 tablespoon garlic
- 1 teaspoon red pepper powder
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- salt
- oil
- 1/2 cup green peas
- 1 red capsicum
- 2 tomatoes
- 1/2 cup self-rising flour
- coriander leaves (for garnishing)
Recipe
- 1 add cauliflower florets to water and let it boil for 5 minutes.
- 2 drain.
- 3 now pour oil in a heavy bottomed vessel, just sufficient to fry the florets.
- 4 meanwhile, put self-rising flour in another vessel and add the cauliflower florets to this.
- 5 then, deep fry the florets in hot oil.
- 6 keep aside.
- 7 in another pan, heat a little oil.
- 8 fry the onions until golden-brown in colour.
- 9 add green chillies, chopped tomatoes, green peas (cooked) and the capsicum.
- 10 cook for 10 minutes.
- 11 add salt and turmeric powder.
- 12 grind together ginger, garlic and peppercorns together.
- 13 put this paste into the onion-tomato mixture.
- 14 towards the end add the fried cauliflower.
- 15 mix well.
- 16 simmer for 5 minutes.
- 17 before serving, garnish with corriander leaves.
