Classic Rhubarb Crisp

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 3 cups rhubarb, cut up
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon mace
  • 1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup flour

Recipe

  • 1 combine the rhubarb, one cup sugar, egg, 2 tablespoons flour and mace and spread into a deep pie plate.
  • 2 combine the remaining ingredients to make a crumbly mixture.
  • 3 cover the rhubarb with this mixture.
  • 4 bake at 375 f for about a half hour, or until rhubarb is tender.
  • 5 serve warm with cream.
