Cranberry Apple Cobbler

Ingredients

- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 4 cups tart cooking apples, peeled cored sliced 1/4 inch (jonagold is good to use with this, 4 medium)
- 2 cups whole fresh cranberries or 2 cups whole frozen cranberries, thawed
- 2/3 cup flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter (leave out of frige for 15 minutes to soften, don't soften it too much)
Recipe
- 1 heat oven to 400 degrees.
- 2 peel, core, and slice 4 medium tart cooking apples into 1/4 inch slices.
- 3 in large bowl, combine all cobbler ingredients except apples and cranberries.
- 4 add apples and cranberries; toss to coat with flour mixture.
- 5 put in 2-quart casserole dish.
- 6 in medium bowl, stir together 2/3 cup flour and 1/2 cup sugar, cut in butter until crumbly.
- 7 sprinkle over fruit mixture.
- 8 bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until golden brown.
- 9 serve warm with ice cream.
