Chicken Breast In Orange Sauce For 2

Ingredients

- 2 (4 -6 ounce) boneless skinless chicken breast halves
- 1 teaspoon fresh orange zest
- 1/2 cup fresh squeezed orange juice
- 1 tablespoon dry wine
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon prepared mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350°f.
- 2 place chicken breast halves in a 1 quart baking dish.
- 3 in a small bowl, combine orange zest, orange juice, wine, brown sugar, mustard and ginger. drizzle over chicken.
- 4 cover and bake for 20-30 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink in center (180-190ºf on a meat thermometer). don't overbake!
- 5 remove chicken to serving dish, cover and keep warm.
- 6 pour pan juices into a small saucepan.
- 7 in a small bowl, blend cornstarch & water till smooth.
- 8 add to juices in saucepan and cook over low heat until it starts to thicken.
- 9 spoon sauce over chicken and serve.
