Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup butter
• 2 cups brown sugar
• 2 eggs
• 2 1/4 cups cake flour
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup buttermilk
• 1/2 cup boiling water
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 2 tablespoons cocoa
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 teaspoon baking powder

Recipe

• 1 mix dry ingredients.
• 2 add softened butter and butter-milk; beat for one minute.
• 3 add eggs and vanilla.
• 4 stir soda and cocoa into boiling water, mix, and then beat into cake mixture.
• 5 bake in greased and floured layer pan or 9x13 inch cake pan at 350°f for 30-35 minutes or until done.
