Cabbage Rolls - Not!

Total Time: 8 hrs 20 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 8 hrs

Ingredients

  • 1 small head cabbage
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • salt & pepper (to taste)
  • 2 lbs extra lean ground beef (precook and drain higher fat content beef)
  • 28 ounces tomato sauce

Recipe

  • 1 crumble uncooked lean ground beef in crock pot.
  • 2 mix in onion, garlic, salt and pepper.
  • 3 remove core from cabbage and cut into wedges.
  • 4 arrange cabbage over meat mixture.
  • 5 pour tomato sauce over cabbage.
  • 6 cook on low for 8-10 hours
  • 7 note: may be converted to 2-3 hour stovetop method in dutch oven but recommend precooking ground beef with onion and garlic.
