Chicken And Rice Dinner

Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 1/3 cups water
  • 1 1/2 cups uncooked long grain rice
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • chopped fresh parsley

Recipe

  • 1 lightly salt and pepper chicken.
  • 2 coat chicken pieces with flour.
  • 3 in a large skillet, brown chicken in oil on both sides.
  • 4 in a bowl, combine the water, rice, milk, salt, poultry seasoning and pepper.
  • 5 pour into a greased 13" x 9" baking dish.
  • 6 top with chicken.
  • 7 cover tightly with foil and bake at 350° for 35 to 45 minutes or until rice and chicken are tender.
  • 8 garnish by sprinkling with chopped fresh parsley.
